About this site
Hello! First of all, glad to have you here! I'm... surprised, honestly? I guess someone sent you a link (possibly me?) and you decided you wanted to know what this is.
Who is this guy?
My name is Love Arvidsson. I'm a Swedish game developer, specializing in test automation, working in the industry since 2019. I've worked on a "a horse game online full of adventure", "a co-op smuggler’s paradise set in the fictional world of 1970s Southeast Asia", and a "3rd-person science fiction adventure set in a remote corner of the universe".
I have also been involved in labor organizing in some capacity since 2022; most prominently, I was the chairman of the Avalanche Studios local union club, and was the employee representative at the table at Avalanche's collective bargaining agreement negotiations. I've taken a step back from active organizing, but am supporting various unionization efforts in Sweden and Denmark in an advisory capacity.
What is this?
Like most people, I have thoughts about things. Like many people, I feel like my thoughts about things are worth sharing with others. I also enjoy writing, but don't have a lot of outlets for it (writing code, which is my day-job, does not count).
On this site, you'll be able to read my thoughts about a variety of topics; I don't plan on sticking to any particular theme, but you can expect a decent amount of writing about video games, the art of making them, and the importance of organizing the people who do. Mixed in with that will be lighter topics like what books I'm reading, or my most recent escapades into the world of fashion.
If this sounds interesting to you, feel free to subscribe so you can get notified whenever I write something here. I don't have any plans to monetize this site at the moment; I just wanted an outlet for writing that isn't social media.
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope to see you in the comments.
